Size guide

Reading the numbers

Every frame has three measurements in millimetres. You will usually find them printed on the inside of the arm of glasses you already own.

50Lens width 18Bridge145Arm length

The quickest check

Compare with a pair that fits you well. A lens width within 2 mm and a bridge within 2 mm of your current glasses will usually feel the same on your face. Arm length matters less; most adults wear 140 to 145 mm.

Which size is this frame?

Based on lens width. This frame is highlighted.

Narrow50 to 52 mmSlimmer faces, petite features
Medium53 to 55 mmFits most adults
Wide56 mm and upBroader faces

Frames and face shape

Round faceSquare or rectangular frames add definition.
Square faceRound or oval frames soften strong lines.
Oval faceMost shapes suit. Keep the frame about as wide as your face.
Heart faceLighter frames, or ones wider at the bottom, balance the look.

Signs of a good fit

Your eyes sit near the centre of each lens, the frame is about as wide as your face at the temples, and the arms rest on your ears without pressing.
